Nepal Police

Internal Policy and Management

Nepal Police Organization has managed following internal committees from central to the local level in order to further and enhance the management and rescue operation in an effective manner.

Explanation of organizational structure and duties and responsibilities of the committees.

Central Committee for Natural Disaster Management and Rescue Operation (CCNDMRO)

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Formulate and cause to formulate out the policies regarding the management and rescue of a natural disaster.
  2. Supply and manage of skilled manpower needed in rescue operation and management.
  3. Provide and cause to provide directions and instructions for disaster management and rescue committees under the central committee.
  4. To establish contacts and coordination and cause to do so between and among similar interest GOs and NGOs.
  5. To monitor and observe and cause to do so of the rescue operations and management of the committees under the central committee.
  6. Carry and Cause to carry out all works occurring during the process of rescue.

Central Police Natural Disaster Rescue and Management Coordination Working Committee (CPNDRMCWC)

1. Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Chairman
2. DIGP (Operation) Vice-chairman
3. Chief of Operation Division Coordinator
4. Chief of Communication Division Member
5. Chief of Housing and Physical Planning Division Member
6. Chief of Economic Administrative Division Member

9. Representative of National Police Academy Member
10. Chief of Operation cell Member
11. Chief of Central Police Special Task Force Member

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. To provide necessary recommendations to Central Natural Disaster Rescue and Management Committee on formulation of proper policies.
  2. To implement and cause to implement the policy and directions received from the central committee.
  3. To provide and cause to provide necessary policy and directions for other committees under CPNDRMCWC.
  4. To prepare policies of the previous central policies and decisions on rescue operations.
  5. Approach and cause to approach for the management and supply of skilled rescue workers and physical and financial sources required in rescue operation and management.
  6. Keep records and report and cause to do so about the accidents natural disaster.
  7. Coordinate and maintain contacts among concerned government and non governmental bodies.
  8. Inspection and monitor of all rescue works done by the committees under CPNDRMCWC.
  9. Carry and Cause to carry out all works occurring during the process of rescue.

Regional / valley Disaster Rescue and Management Committee

1. D.I.G.(R.P.O/ V.P.O) President
2. Chief Zonal Police Office Member
3. Chief ( R.B.P.H) Member
4. Chief (R.A.P.B) Member
5. Chief of Regional Police Training Center Member
6. Chief of Regional Communication Branch Member

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. To provide necessary recommendations to Central Natural Disaster Rescue and Management Committee on formulation of proper policies.

Duties and Responsibilities
