Internal Policy and Management

  1. Disaster Rescue Operation

    In disaster rescue operation there are different types of, Organization, Institution, NGO, INGO. But security forces which are physically and mentally sound can be quickly operated in very difficult situation by collecting authentic information. Giving those information to concerned bodies and working together in rescue operation.

  2. Introduction

    From the very beginning of establishment of, A.P.F however with the limited resources and manpower, it has been mobilized in several kinds of natural disasters.

    As its motto, A.P.F is always forefront to encountered several kinds of disaster rescue operation. A.P.F has prepared Directives on SOP to set up Natural Disaster Management and Rescue Operation Committees from central to local level within the A.P.F organization which also aims at producing skilled manpower in mitigating and management of disasters and maximum utilization of local resources in rescue operation. From this year 2007,there will be practical and theory classes of disaster management for new recruitment officer of A.P.F in basic training.

  3. Internal Policy and Management

    Armed Police Force has managed following internal committees from central to the local in order to further and enhance the management and rescue operation in an effective way.


(I) Central Armed Police Force Natural Disaster and Rescue Operation Committee.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Formulate and cause to formulate out the policies regarding the management and rescue of a natural disaster.
  2. Supply and management of skilled manpower needed in rescue operation and management.
  3. Provide and cause to provide directions and instructions for disaster management and rescue committees under the central committee.
  4. To establish contacts and co-ordination and cause to do so between and among similar interest GOs and NGOs.
  5. To monitor and observe and cause to do so of the rescue operation and the management of the committees under the central committee.
  6. Carry and cause to carry out all the works occurring during the process of rescue.

(II) Central A.P.F Natural Disaster Management and Rescue Operation Co-ordination working committee

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. To provide necessary recommendation to Central Armed Police Force Natural Disaster and Rescue Operation Committee on formulation of proper policies.
  2. To implement and cause to implement the policy and directions received from the central committee.
  3. To provide and cause to provide necessary policy and direction for other committees under Central A.P.F Natural Disaster Management and Rescue Operation Co-ordination working committee.
  4. To prepare policies of the previous central policies and decisions on rescue operations.
  5. Approach and cause to approach for the management and supply of skilled rescue workers and physical and financial sources required in rescue operation and management.
  6. To keep records and report and cause to do so about the accident of natural disaster.
  7. Co-ordinate and maintain contacts among concerned government and non governmental bodies.
  8. Inspection and monitor of all rescue works done by the committees under Central A.P.F Natural Disaster Management and Rescue Operation Co-ordination working committee.
  9. Carry and cause to carry out all works occurring during the process of rescue.

(III) Regional/Valley Disaster management and Rescue Operation Committee

1. Deputy Inspector General Of A.P.F( Brigade) Chairman
2. Battalion Commanders Member          
3. Company Commanders, Base Camp Commanders (Dy.S.P) Member
4. Chief Of unified Base Camp Commanders "
5. ChiefOfBase Camp Revenue/Central Jail) "
6. Chief Regional Communication Branch "
7. Senior Superintendent Of A.P.F Member Secretary


Duties and Responsibilities

  1. To provide necessary recommendation to Central Armed Police Force Natural Disaster and Rescue Operation Committee on formulation of proper policies.

(IV) District Disaster Management and Rescue Operation Committee

1. Chief Of Base-camp/Company Chairman
2. Chief of Operation Branch Member
3. Chief Of Unified Base-Camp "
4. Inspector Of A.P.F "


Duties and Responsibilities
